What sizes of futon frames are available?

Sizes do vary slightly by manufacturer, but the approx measurements are:
Full - Approx 75 inches inside the arms + add an extra 6 inches for the width of the arms to equal total wall space needed. When opened as a bed a full size measures 54" from the wall to the front of the frame. Over 95% of all futons sold are full size
Queen - Approx 80 inches inside the arms + add an extra 6 inches for the width of the arms. When opened as a bed a full size measures 54" from the wall to the front of the frame.

Are wood frames more sturdy than metal?
A simple answer is yes! Generally speaking metal frames are less expensive - but will last for a shorter period of time. Wooden frames (especially hard woods) are more durable. We do not recomend metal futon frames with wooden arms - cheap, but prone to breaking and not a good long term investment. For these reasons, we do not sell them.

What are my futon mattress options?
We offer 2 types. For great price value and comfort, we offer both an 8 inch and 10 inch Cotton and Foam tufted mattress. If it is your intention to use the futon as your primary sleeeping option, we recomend futon mattresses that contain coils for additional support and longevity. These are also available in 8 and 10 inch thicknesses.

And what about futon covers?
The choice is endless starting from $20 and up to over $100 for designer covers. We have an excellent $29 selection that includes all the major colors.
